Ginger Tea
Winter is getting closer so it wouldn't be bad to be prepared for hours of watching the snow beside the fire place. Ginger tea is not only a normal tea but also has some useful herbal medicine effects. First of all the taste of the tea is spicy and hot! So this tea is a double-hot one, first because of its taste second because you drink it when it's hot. It also invigorates the stomach and is used as a home remedy for indigestion, nausea, and to ward off colds, flu, and sore throats.

Rosemary and Parmesan Biscuit
These small treats are best served hot right out of the oven. This is a robust recipe for a savory biscuit but can be easily changed to your taste. Just replace rosemary and Parmesan cheese with your favorite ingredients such as cream cheese and chive or even cornmeal.

Chicken Wings
This is my version of healthy chicken wings! The trick is in marinating for a day. By marinating the chicken wings I give them a lot of taste, I keep them light and they still come out juicy. This is the very simple version which can be made more interesting by brushing the wings with your choice of sauce such as Teriyaki or BBQ about 20 minutes before they are done.

Mushroom and Spinach Quiche
If spinach quiche is too vegetarian for you or your family this recipe can win you over. The recipe is easy to follow and you can further customize it to your taste by choosing different cheese or adding more vegetables like kernel corn.

Gingerbread Cookies
Must have holiday cookies! Spicy, full of flavour and aromatic. Decorate them as you wish---with your favourite frosting, etc.--- and use as ornaments or gift tags. Try them not only on holiday season but any other time with your tea/coffee. I very much enjoy dipping unfrosted cookies in my afternoon tea/coffee; you may too want to give them a try.

Mango Cake
Very simple recipe for a tasty and moist cake. You can replace mangoes with bananas or use a mixture of both (e.g. half mango half banana) for different variations or based on what you have available in your kitchen. Serve plain or with whipped cream.

Coconut Macaroon
Tasty, dense and chewy coconut macaroons. Try them plain or in chocolaty variations. An easy recipe to make varieties of cookies that not only taste good but also look good. For the chocolaty variations I use Swiss dark chocolate; feel free to use any of your favourite chocolates. Use more or less chocolate if you wish, according to your taste. I usually make one batch in all three variations, dividing the dough into two or three before refrigerating it.
